The well was converted from ESP to rod pump due to low production efficiency for gas interference in the ESP. After the conversion, maintaining the gas production, the liquid production was almost duplicated (44% increase) passing from 460 bbl/d to around 900 bbl/d.

SAND CONTROL

The well was completed since the beginning with the two stages filtration system to avoid damages in the pump by the frac sand. After its completion in April 2019, the well run for 367 days long

Despite the low historical runtime reported in this field (200 days in Avg.) and the high expectations of the operator, the downhole chemical treatment has succeeded in 79% of the wells evaluated. The evaluation is still in progress and the target is finalize the evaluation with a success rate greater than 80%

COMBINATION TOOL

The well was converted from ESP to rod pump and initially completed with a mother hubbard style gas separator. After that, the mother hubbard separator was replaced by an OSI Combination Tool to deal with gas and sand problems. The well behavior improved, achieving a Pump fillage above 80% during the whole production period and keeping a steady production of 250 BFPD
