Top Bypass Valve is the most recent solution created by OSI to guarantee the flow to the pump increasing the runtime.
The main advantage is that the Top Bypass Valve is installed in the top of the assembly ensuring the optimum opening when the pressure difference in the system is greater than 33 psi.

The OSI SAND LIFT is an innovative design that controls sand in ESP applications.
The OSI SAND LIFT is installed above the ESP pump discharge. When the ESP restarts generated pressure in the internal section of the tool will break up the packed sand which is then produced to surface.

1- Chemical Screen:
- Fluid conditioning that treats all chemical issues.
- Bottom-up downhole chemical treatment (Longevity
based on production).
2- Sand filtration tool:
- Reduces sand failures and interventions.
3- Bypass valve:
- Activates to extend the run life of the pump.

Sand Failure happens when sand is pumped along with the liquid to the surface, which is thousands of feet from the pump. Naturally, the heavier sand will fall back on top of the plunger. It gets crushed and works its way between the barrel and plunger causing sand cutting, which causes:
- Pump Failure
- Rod Failure
- Tubing Failure
- Short run life

WHAT CAUSES
SAND FAILURES ?
GAS CAUSES TWO MAIN PROBLEMS
1. Gas occupies space that could be used for liquid, which decreases pumping efficiency. Each stroke contains less liquid.
2. Fluid pound causes rod buckling & tubing wear. The gas inside the pump must be compressed to create a greater pressure than the hydrostatic head on top of the traveling valve before
the valve will open.

PUMPING
GAS
IS PLACED AT THE VERY BOTTOM
OF THE WELL

-Provides a steady and continuous releases over several months.
-Reduces potential pump damage and maintenance cost.
-Provides support for surface treatments insuring longer run times even when the well is under control and surface treatments are viable.
-Perforations and intake equipment remain clear allowing for greater fluid flow.
